City The Great (Special Ed Protege) Pushes Hip Hop And The Culture Forward

City The Great, a NY Stapleton/artist/Ceo has and continues to push Hip Hop, the culture, and the elements to the forefront. As Special Ed's protege, he vows to work diligently on both his craft and his vision/mission to bridge the generation gap in Hip Hop.

At the young age of nine City wrote his very first rap called "F*ck School" at which point he knew his calling and what he was destined to become. As he matured and mastered his craft daily, he built a catalog of music consisting of a series of mixtapes, albums, and even collaborations with a few Hip Hop legends and pioneers. In fact, once Special Ed caught wind of his authentic talent he immediately signed Ctiy as the first artist under his label semedia. "I was taken back, City The Great is refreshing to the ears, his realness is authentic and he strives to keep the culture and elements of Hip Hop alive." -Special Ed

As CEO of Certified Nation Entertainment, City scouts and signs like-minded talent who share the same vision and mission as his own; to create authentic music true to Hip Hop culture with respect to the elements. To further his mission, City linked with Kool Rock Ski of The Fat Boys to co-orchestrate the Annual Classic Hip Hop and R&B Cookout in NY. The cookout brings the old and new schools together for music, food, and good vibes. "He has great talent and is making incredible moves in the industry, he keeps me young and motivated, this is just the beginning." - Kool Rock Ski

Both Special Ed, Kool Rock Ski, and other founding fathers of Hip Hop are impressed with Great’s ability to reach all ages and all walks of life, globally by way of his wordplay and lyricism, intertwined with traditional and new-wave Hip Hop.
